Katrin Berger (Christine Neubauer) runs into an old flame and realises she is still in love with him. He is a medical doctor, in charge of a bush clinic in Africa. They get married. But when Katrin arrives in Africa, her husband’s friend, Dr Sam Vanderloo, is waiting for her with tragic news. Katrin is left with the tough choice of whether or not to stay in a foreign country and confront her fears.
